The device (3) has a spring element acting between a housing (6) and a roller support (11), where the spring element elastically lifts support rollers (4, 5). An adjusting element, adjusting-or threaded bolts and an adjusting wedge adjust height of the roller support and spring force produced by the spring element, where the spring element, the adjusting element, the bolts and the wedge are accommodated in the housing. The adjusting element, the bolts and the wedge are accessed from a peripheral area of the housing for adjusting the height of the roller support and the spring force.
