Patient safety system for preventing downfall of e.g. spacy patient from hospital bed, has nurse call system providing acoustic/optical signal to nursing staff, for announcing escaping attempt of patient to staff in earlier phase
The system has an air chamber tube and/or transfer strip e.g. pneumatic and/or electrical pressure sensor (4) attached to a side grid (1), a head part (2) and a foot part (3) of a bed e.g. hospital bed. The transfer strip detects escaping attempt of a patient from the bed. An acoustic/optical signal and an alarm are provided to a nursing staff via a nurse call system, for announcing the escaping attempt of the patient to the nursing staff in an earlier phase. A connection is formed between the transfer strip and a center element (6).
