Bank note detecting device for use in e.g. retail industry, has data transmission device arranged in protective housing and protected against manipulations, and reader and destruction device integrally arranged in housing
The device (1) has an input device (4) and a reader (5), which detects a serial number entered bank note and reads data of the bank note, where the device forms a mobile unit. The read data is transmitted via online to an account-processing area i.e. main bank, by a data transmission device (7), which is arranged in a protective housing (2) and protected against manipulations. The reader and a destruction device (8) are integrally arranged in the housing. The destruction device rejects the detected bank note in a reservoir (13) within the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing a bank note.
