Tool holder for machine tools, has machine sided holder unit and tool sided holder unit that are connected together in axially displacing manner, where coupling device and spring are arranged between holder units
The tool holder has a machine sided holder unit (1) and a tool sided holder unit (3) that are connected together in axially displacing manner. A coupling device and a spring (7) are arranged between the holder units, where the spring twists the tool sided holder unit in the direction of the machine sided holder unit. A pressure piece (9') twists the tool sided holding unit temporarily in the direction of the spring. The coupling device has a clutch plate (4) which is clamped by the spring. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a tool holder.
