The magnetic position sensor has a carrier (2) arranged in a sensor housing (1). A resistive track is arranged on the carrier and a conductive track. A slider (5) is provided contacting the resistive track and the conductive track, where the slider has a base body (11) made of plastic with graphite component. The slider is arranged in translatively rotating manner, and is drawn from a magnetic actuator (6) at a wall (1.1) of the sensor housing turned away from the carrier, where the wall is made of plastic with metal or ceramic.
