The method involves filtering a flow pressure signal that is harmonically correlated to rotor speed, from a pressure sensor signal. The flow pressure signal is supplied to a low-pass filter of a filter unit. A sensor condition signal e.g. binary signal and gradual signal, is determined based on condition parameters e.g. rotor blade speed and rotor blade angle, of a rotor blade (12) and/or a helicopter (10). The sensor condition signal optically, acoustically and/or sensorially signals a pilot. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting a functional condition of a pressure sensor for dynamic pressure measurement in a rotor blade of a helicopter.
