The structure (1) has two side parts (2, 3) and a middle tunnel (4) that is arranged between the side parts and running in a longitudinal direction (x) of a motor vehicle for placing a shaft and supply lines. A reinforcement part (6) is arranged within the middle tunnel and runs transverse to the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. The reinforcement part is designed with the middle tunnel as a single piece. The reinforcement part is designed in the form of a cross and made of metallic material, plastic or composite material such as glass fiber reinforced plastic.
