The immobilization of heavy metals in slag from metallurgical plant, and filter dust from metallurgical aggregate such as shaft furnace, short roller oven or coupon oven, whose metal-, slag- and filter dust phase is discharged, comprises adding acids such as quartz-, quartzite- and calzite containing buffer system to rock flour such as gabbro or grey rock for lowering the pH-value of the slag and adding the rock flour for fixing the pH-value and stability formation of landfill body with water impermeability. The immobilization of heavy metals in slag from metallurgical plant, and filter dust from metallurgical aggregate such as shaft furnace, short roller oven or coupon oven, whose metal-, slag- and filter dust phase is discharged, comprises adding acids such as quartz-, quartzite- and calzite containing buffer system to rock flour such as gabbro or grey rock for lowering the pH-value of the slag, adding the rock flour for fixing the pH-value and stability formation of landfill body with water impermeability and reconditioning the slag- and filter dust landfill with high basic capacity and elution danger e.g. flowing water.
