The assembly (1) has a piston (5) with a damping unit (4) and axially moveably mounted to a piston rod (3) in an operating cylinder (2). A piston rod guide (6) tightens the piston rod to an atmosphere. Fastening elements (7a, 7b) are provided for fastening the piston-cylinder-assembly on one side to a chassis and on another side to a vehicle body. The piston is flexibly supported against the piston rod, and the piston rod is flexibly supported against the piston rod guide via an elastomer support (9a), a metallic spring element, a rubber-metal-bush and a hydraulically damped rubber support.
