The method comprises mixing powdered metal particles (2) and powdered non-metallic solid particles (1) with one another and then hot isostatically pressing (6) in an inert gas atmosphere, so that the metal forms a matrix for the non-metallic solid particles. The method comprises mixing powdered metal particles (2) and powdered non-metallic solid particles (1) with one another and then hot isostatically pressing (6) in an inert gas atmosphere, so that the metal forms a matrix for the non-metallic solid particles.
