The case has an encasing band (22) defining a primary plane, and a middle section sandwiched between bottom (10) and the encasing band. First and second fixation units are formed of a screw (16) and threads (30), and fix the bottom to the encasing band. A bezel (38) is provided with an edge (38a) located in the primary plane. A third fixation unit i.e. screw (44), fixes the bezel to the encasing band and cooperates with the edge. The third fixation unit defines a general orientation parallel to the primary plane. A dial (34) is placed on a timepiece movement. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a watch case.
