1. A method of mixing at least one fluid stream with a large volumetric gas flow, in particular for introducing a reducing agent into a flue gas containing nitrogen oxides, in which a large volumetric gas flow flows onto at least one disc-shaped mixing element set at an angle relative to direction of flow of the flow, from its front side, and it has flow vortices, and the fluid flow is admixed to the volumetric gas flow downstream of the mixing element, characterized in that the fluid flow is admixed in the form of a swirling flow. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the swirling fluid flow is directed from the rear (leeward) side of the mixing element, essentially perpendicular to the mixing element and essentially to its center, and the fluid enters the flow vortices from center along the back side. ! 3. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the swirling fluid flow is directed from the front (windward) side of the mixing element, essentially perpendicular to the mixing element and it exits through an opening provided essentially in the center of the mixing element, onto the rear (leeward) side of the mixing element, wherein the fluid enters the flow vortices from the center along the rear side. ! 4.
