PURPOSE: A local scour induction type aggradation prevention structure for a river is provided to achieve the protection of an ecosystem around a river through the maintenance of river shape. CONSTITUTION: A local scour induction type aggradation prevention structure for a river comprises a column with the bottom thereof inserted into the ground to induce local scour in the ground. Each column comprises a cylindrical base pipe(20) which is inserted and fixed in the ground and an upper pipe(10) which is made of a watertight pipe received in the base pipe. The base pipe has a plurality of annular protrusions contacting the exterior of the upper pipe. The leading edge of a hydrofoil faces the upstream of the river is installed on the top of the upper pipe so that buoyancy and lifting force are applied to the upper pipe as the water level and flow rate increase.
