A self moving picture providing system based on the IPTV and a service method thereof are provided to photograph the singing feature of a user, and display the photographed image on a screen or offer it to the others. A karaoke server(310) stores/manages music files including sound source data and lyrics data of each music. An authentication management server(330) performs the user login authentication. A photographing device(400) photographs the singing feature of a user and generates a self moving picture. By connecting to the karaoke server, a set top box(100) receives a music file desired by the user from the karaoke server and then encodes/displays the photographed self moving picture.
