PURPOSE: A location based multicast transmission method in a wireless sensor network and a location based multicast transmission method using network coding are provided to generate a target node group and select an intermediate node about the target node group. CONSTITUTION: The angles of a plurality of target nodes are calculated by using the location information of a plurality of target nodes. According to the range of the calculated angles, a plurality of target nodes is grouped(S310). Transmission cost according to the number of transmission paths and intermediate nodes about the target node group is calculated(S320). The intermediate node is selected(S330). Data is transmitted to the target node group by using the selected intermediate node(S340).
