PURPOSE: A fuel pump failure diagnosis system for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to diagnose the response rate delay error of a fuel pump or the adherence error of the fuel pump.;CONSTITUTION: A fuel pump failure diagnosis system for a vehicle and a method thereof comprise following steps. A fuel pump is driven in a reverse direction to the direction to return fuel remaining in a fuel line to a fuel tank during power latch after stopping an engine(101). After the reverse rotation drive of the fuel pump, the counting of a first timer, counting preset time, and a second timer, counting delay time for fuel pressure to reach within a critical range, is started(103). After the preset time passes, the fuel pressure is received(107). If the fuel pressure of the fuel line is not within the preset critical range, the adherence error of the fuel pump is determined(111).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
