摘要

PURPOSE: An ultrafast all-optical switch of exciton spin polarization in nano-crystal quantum dots is provided to perform switch in 1ps for terabit communication by solving a problem of accumulative effect of the carrier of the nanosecond scale.;CONSTITUTION: A room temperature driving high-speed switch comprises a nano-crystalline quantum dot, a vertical polarizer, a horizontal polarizer, a time difference controlling unit(420), and a circle polarization changing unit(430). The nano-crystalline quantum dot holds the property of matter and the size suitable for the room temperature drive. The vertical polarizer and the horizontal polarizer are arranged in the optical path and it also is arranged at the both sides of the nano-crystalline quantum dot. The time difference controlling unit controls the time difference between a gating pulse and a signal pulse inputted to the nano-crystalline quantum dot.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
