PURPOSE: A composition for preventing and treating nerve disease, which contains an amyloid beta fragment as an active ingredient is provided to ensure strong binding with mutant SOD1 and treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating ALS(amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) caused by mutant SOD1(superoxide dismutase 1) contains amyloid beta fragment as an active ingredient. The amyloid beta fragment binds with the mutant SOD1 and contains one amino acid selected from the sequence numbers 3 to 5. The amyloid beta fragment is administered to mammal including human with pharmaceutically effective amount for treating ALS.
