Provided is a method for creating a living body data model, whereby it is possible to create a data model which is inherent to a patient, has an internal structure, and is applicable to biomechanical simulation by making use of medical image data, assigning a physical property value of a living body portion based on image information, and creating a three-dimensional living body data model in which a subject organ is separated from the image data.  The method for making a living body data model comprises the steps of setting a combination of CT and MRI images which become a pair out of medical images of the same subject of a living body and are picked up by CT and MRI apparatuses; selecting and setting a plurality of characteristic points which display the same portion from the CT and MRI images; obtaining a conversion coefficient between the CT and MRI images; and rearranging the MRI image based on projection conversion and linear correction by using the conversion coefficient, thereby correcting the MRI image such that the MRI image is aligned along the contour of the CT image and positioned within the contour.  Further, a three-dimensional data model is created by using this image.
