Methods for starting deep-water airlift and airlift unit for realization of those relate to machine-building and can be used directly in area of development of underwater mineral beds, lift of elements of which tales place by means of airlift. The aim of the invention is in improvement of the method for start of deep water airlift and airlift installation for its realization in which through control of pressure values or values of flow circulation rate in the flow intended for transportation of elements of underwater mineral beds, in process of airlift start, and introduction of additional connections to known design layout provided is possibility to increase efficiency of operation of airlift installation intended for lift of rock mass from large depths, as result of increase of productivity of airlift lifting due to increase of duration of airlift functioning at its operation characteristics due to substantial decrease of time of duration of transition processes at airlift start and rational configuration of technical means.
