An external economizer includes a tubular heat exchanger and collectors. It has two cylindrical collectors that form pack of economizer, those installed in horizontal positions and connected by vertical pipe rows. Each next pack of economizer is connected to previous one through common gathering main. At that the pipes that connect horizontal collectors are arranged in each pack of economizer is such way that to keep the chess order of placement of those in one plane with respect to horizontal flow of combustion products.
