A method of building a house is disclosed. The method includes the steps of (a) constructing a house base according to a first house plan selected by a first party on a plot of land, (b) a second party selecting a second house plan from a predefined plurality of house plans which are suitable for construction on the house base without further alteration, and (c) constructing a house according to the second house plan on the house base.
