The traffic light has a unit for detecting the presence of pedestrians waiting to cross a road, and a traffic control device for controlling traffic in the road. Information about waiting time and remaining time for crossing the road are respectively provided by red LEDs (2) and green LEDs (3). The red LEDs are arranged in an upper circular part, and the green LEDs are arranged in a lower circular part, where the number of LEDs in each circular part is around 32.
