Ventilation system for road tunnel, has air supply channel between two tunnel tubes, and ventilation passages provided at regular intervals on walls of tunnel tubes, where system generates airflow along length of tunnel
The system has an air supply channel (3) between two tunnel tubes (2a, 2b), and two vents (4a, 4b) on opposite sides of the respective tunnel tubes. Ventilation passages (9i, 9u) are provided at regular intervals on walls (5-8) of the tunnel tubes, where the system generates airflow along the length of a tunnel. Air intake vents are movable between a normal condition where air mainly transverse to a longitudinal direction of the tunnel and an emergency situation where air flows essentially parallel to the length of the tunnel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for ventilating a road tunnel (2) a method for making a long ventilation capable tunnel.
