The present invention refers to a composition for reducing the NOx emissions by means of nitrogenous compounds, and a process which may be applied to any inner combustion machine using hydrocarbons in the industry, heaters, furnaces, vehicles, etc, said composition may be injected in a high temperature zone and applied by a lance body or a similar device, said devices including an aperture through which the composition is injected in the form of spray or small drops. The composition of the present invention comprises: a) 44% to 46% of urea, b) 44% to 46% of water, c) 4% to 8% of ammonia, d) 1% to 2% of trichloroisocyanuric acid, e) 1% to 2% of ethanol.
