Described is a phytosanitary formulation with insecticide activity, which is characterised in that the composition thereof includes a raw or purified oil, single or mixed with an alkyl derived from vegetable oil and fatty acids having from about 6 to about 14 carbon atoms, which are useful for enhancing the activity of a traditional pesticide for the insect control, including one or more conventional chemical pesticides. The formula is designed to be used as an emulsion concentrate for foliar application. The vegetable oils of the formula may be raw or refined, but not hydrogenated, and the major composition must include fatty acids from the group 16:0 18:1, 18:2 and 18:3; the derived alkyl may not contain free fatty acids (acid form) and the saponification index thereof may be from about 300 mg/kg to about 350 mg/kg.
