Relates in general to the detection of genetic differences between soy. More particularly with quantitative trait loci (QTL) for soybean tolerance to PPO inhibitors in soybean plants that possess these QTLs, which mapped a region of Chromosome and Genetic Markers that are indicative of phenotypes associated with tolerance to inhibitors The PPO.Methods are disclosed, a team to select a plant and compositions for use of these markers for Selection and genotyping of soybean.Claim 1: a method for selecting or soybean Plant Germplasm with Tolerance or Enhanced tolerance to herbicides that inhibit the function of protoporfirinogeno oxidase characterized in that it comprises: a) a detector of germplasm or soybean Plant at least one allele of a Marker Locus Is associated with tolerance and improved tolerance to herbicides that inhibit the function of the protOporfirinogeno oxidase, where one or more of the Marker loci is a Marker locus is located within a Chromosomal interval flanked by the Marker and includes satt613 and others ahead of a Linkage Group l; and (b) select the Germplasm or soybean Plant comprising Said at least one allele of one or more of the Marker loci.Selected in this way a soybean Plant Tolerance or with improved tolerance to herbicides that inhibit the function of protoporphyrinogen oxidase.
