Frozen rice that can ensure the flavor of freshly cooked rice is manufactured with a simple manufacturing method. In step S110, 1 kg of polished rice is prepared. In step S120, the polished rice is washed with water. In step S130, the washed polished rice is poured into boiling hot water, and then the heating is stopped and the polished rice is immersed in hot water. Cool in step S140 and freeze in step S150. Thus, it can heat-process with a microwave oven and can manufacture the frozen rice which has the flavor similar to freshly cooked rice.
