PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method using an internal model controller for a primary delay control target.;SOLUTION: In this control method, a denominator polynomial of the internal model controller 2 has at least one zero point on an imaginary axis of a complex plane or in the vicinity thereof, and all numerator polynomial parameters of a (degree + 1) number of the internal model controller are made to have individual design flexibility when a maximum degree parameter of the denominator polynomial of the internal model controller is set as 1. The control method has the following excellent features. (1) A stability degree of a feedback control system can be freely imparted. (2) A desired stability degree can be secured by the most compact controller. (3) A desired loop band and rapid responsiveness can be easily imparted.
