PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize measurement of body rocking similar to a conventional centroid rocking meter by a simple system at an optional measuring place. PSOLUTION: The image data of an index 4 stuck to the back of a patient is inputted by a CCD video camera 2, the movement locus of the index 4 during a fixed period is calculated to obtain the angular speed of body rocking (TSS) in a right/left direction and a front/rear direction. From the invert of the angular speed of body rocking in the right/left direction, an invert body rocking time TSTr is obtained. Rf obtained from the ratio of the TSTr and a standard TSTs simulated based on the body condition of the patient is compared with a threshold. When the Rf is smaller than the threshold, it is judged that there is a risk of overturning. When the Rf is not smaller than the threshold, it is judged that there is no risk of overturning.
