PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle remote failure diagnostic device, an on-vehicle remote failure diagnostic program, a remote failure diagnostic method of a vehicle, a remote failure diagnostic device of the vehicle, a failure diagnostic program of the vehicle and the like, capable of inspecting simply a vehicle failure without requiring the vehicle to come to a dealer and/or a service factory (repair shop). SOLUTION: This on-vehicle remote failure diagnostic device for receiving failure diagnostic information from an external server, and diagnosing the vehicle remotely has a diagnostic guide program reception means for receiving, from the external server, the diagnostic guide program for executing guidance for an inspection work of the vehicle executed by a user, in response to a request from the user, a memory means for storing temporarily the received diagnostic guide program, and a display means for displaying the guidance by the diagnostic guide program. The diagnostic guide program is characterized by executing the guidance by using the image of a vehicle of the same car model as the vehicle subjected to the inspection work by the user.
