PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive force transmission mechanism for an image carrier, the mechanism reducing nonuniform color caused by banding of a middle frequency range from about several ten heltz to 300 Hz and nonuniform rotation of a low-frequency range from several heltz to 10 Hz or more.;SOLUTION: The drive force transmission mechanism for a photoreceptor drum 51 includes: a drum drive gear 46 that is disposed on the same rotational shaft as the photoreceptor drum 51; a coupling disk 48 that is engaged with both the drum drive gear 46 and photoreceptor drum 51; and an encoder head 62 that detects rotation information of the coupling disk 48. The drum drive gear 46 and coupling disk 48 are engaged via a visco-elastic body 47. A control circuit 64 is provided for controlling the rotation of the photoreceptor drum 51 on the basis of the rotation information detected by the encoder head 62.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
