PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit an excellent energy efficiency, to attain efficient heating in a simple structure, and to compactify a device.;SOLUTION: This induction heating device 1 includes a cavity part 2 having a substantially elliptic cross-sectional shape of cavity portion, an oscillator 4 for supplying a microwave M to the cavity part 2 via a waveguide 5, and an opening part 6 formed by opening one part of a circumference in the vicinity of a minor axis y of the cavity part 2 and by overlapping both end parts 2a, 2b thereof, wherein the opening part 6 is constituted to bite a heating object K, a direction of an electric field of the microwave M is conformed with a thickness direction in a direction orthogonal to the cross section of the cavity part 2, inside of the cavity part 2, and energy of the microwave M is supplied from the cavity part 2 to the heating object K bit by the opening part 6, to be heated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
