PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exterminating potato rot nematodes sufficiently achieving safety and stable effects, without causing growth disturbance or reduction of commercial value of crops.;SOLUTION: The potato rot nematode attractant containing methiin(S-methylcysteine S-oxide) or S-propylcysteine S-oxide in the active ingredient is used to attract potato rot nematodes in soil, collect and kill them. Concentration of active ingredients in use is set to be ≥10^-6 M. Concomitant use with either chemical treatment of a soil fumigant or a nematicidal agent allows to aim at perfection of pest control effects.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
