PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash transaction device capable of suppressing the probability that transaction is discontinued, even when the quantity of cash in each denomination deviates from a predetermined proper range. PSOLUTION: A vending machine 100 includes: a cash storage unit 102 for storing a plurality of denominations of cash; a cash storage/discharge unit 104 for at least either storing externally inserted cash, in the cash storage unit or discharging cash stored in the cash storage unit to the outside; a cash management unit 106 for managing a quantity of cash in each denomination stored in the cash storage unit; and a transaction notification unit 116 for, when the quantity of cash in an optional denomination deviates from a predetermined proper range, assuming the optional denomination as a deviating denomination and performing notification, to urge transaction by cash in a predetermined denomination so as to suppress deviation of the deviating denomination from the predetermined proper range.
