PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new adamantyl alkane polyol, an adamantyl alkane (meth)acrylate, a method for producing these compounds, and a resin composition comprising the same di(meth)acrylate.;SOLUTION: The admantyl alkane polyol is represented by formula (I), for example, the one of formula (1) (wherein (Y)q is H and (X)p is bonded to 1, 3-dihydroxy-2-propyl group at position 1 of the admantane skeleton) is produced by reducing the corresponding adamantyl alkane dicarboxylic acid, and the above polyol is furthermore condensed with methacrylic acid to produce a bisadamantyl alkane methacrylate. This compound is suitably used as a semiconductor photoresist, a photosemiconductor sealing medium, and an optical electronic part material and gives a cured product excellent in optical properties, long-term heat resistance, and electrical properties such as a dielectric constant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
