PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back propagation learning method applicable to a hierarchal pulse neural network. PSOLUTION: In this back propagation learning method for pulse neuron model, a teacher signal is generated using the duality of the pulse neuron model, and learning is performed using the teacher signal. By generating the teacher signal using the duality of the pulse neuron model, calculation of differentiating an error function is not required, and the method becomes applicable to the hierarchal pulse neural network.
