PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cross-color/dot interference and suppress impression of blurring or impression of a residual image.;SOLUTION: The cross-color/dot interference reduction circuit includes: a signal generation part (2-4) configured to generate a signal (5) obtained by inversely adding input signals (1) corresponding to a luminance signal or color signal between adjacent frames; a component extraction part (6) configured to extract a cross-color/dot interference component (7) from the inversely-added signal; a combination output part (10) configured to combine an interference reduction signal (9) corresponding to the cross-color/dot interference component with the input signal to output an output signal (11) with cross-color/dot interference reduced; an image scene analysis part (14) configured to analyze an image scene included in the input signal; and a signal increase/decrease part (8) configured to increase/decrease the interference reduction signal based on an image scene analysis result (15) by the image scene analysis part. In the circuit, the output signal with the reduction effect of the cross-color/dot interference increased or decreased depending on a content of the image scene is output from an image output part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
