A multi-row chain (eg., two rows) comprises a number of inner link units 110, each comprising left and right plates having front and rear press-fitted bushes 112, the inner link units being coupled in the width-wise direction between two outer plates 130 having front and rear pin holes, there being two intermediate plates 120 located between each pair of adjacent inner links, the intermediate plates having front and rear pin holes, there being front and rear connecting pins 140 press-fitted into said holes of the outer link plates, which pass through the inner link bushes, and loosely through the intermediate plate holes (as pin diameter is smaller than intermediate plate hole diameter), wherein the pitch between the holes of said intermediate link is narrower than the pitch between the holes of said outer link, and wherein the rear pin has a medial bend from which it extends rearwards when there is no tension in the chain.
