The device has a hollow oblong body (1) defined along a longitudinal axis (2) and with open ends (3, 4). Positioning units (6) position an optical system (5) constituted by a plano-convex magnification lens, in the body such that an optical axis of the system is coincident with the longitudinal axis and the system defines chambers (11, 12) in the body. The chambers are respectively located at sides of the open ends. Reception units (30) receive sounds gathered in the chamber (11), and a flange (80) is integrated to the open end (3) and made of flexible material.
