Textile fibers, at least partially coated with a semiconductor material of nanometric size having photocatalytic properties of degradation of organic compounds, in particular chemical or biological agents, this semiconductor material being in the form of nanostructures or nanocomposites with a one-dimensional morphology. These textile fibers can be used for applications in the military, medical, civil, etc.The curves 60 and 62 respectively illustrate the photocatalytic degradation of organic compounds on the surface of textile fibers coated nanostructures or nanocomposites with one-dimensional morphology according to the invention , and nanoparticles granular morphology according to the prior art. The nanostructures or nanocomposites according to the invention 60 are more efficient.
