The process for thermal destruction of organic sludge, comprises stirring or mixing 1 kg of organic sludge containing carbon (49%), hydrogen (7%) and volatile/dry material (76%) with 100 kg of steel beads having diameters of 9-12 mm for 150 seconds thus lowering the average temperature of beads to 90[deg] C, and coating the beads with a thin layer of dry sludge, which disintegrates into dry fine particles. The dryness (95%) of the fine particles is carried out in a furnace at 105[deg] C. The fine particles are separated from beads by screening, and transferred into an oxidation chamber. The process for thermal destruction of organic sludge, comprises stirring or mixing 1 kg of organic sludge containing carbon (49%), hydrogen (7%) and volatile/dry material (76%) with 100 kg of steel beads having diameters of 9-12 mm for 150 seconds thus lowering the average temperature of beads to 90[deg] C, and coating the beads with a thin layer of dry sludge, which disintegrates into dry fine particles. The dryness (95%) of the fine particles is carried out in a furnace at 105[deg] C. The fine particles are separated from beads by screening, and transferred into an oxidation chamber at 850[deg] C for 2 seconds by a reaction with air mass of which the oxygen content is 8-10% above the stoichiometry. The reaction transforms the particles into gas and ash. The beads are heated using 60% of gas fumes by solid/gas heat exchange. The speed of movement of the gas fumes through the mass of beads for solid/gas exchange is 14 m/s at the beginning and 8 m/s at the end of the exchange. The fumes at the end of the exchange contain 30% of initial heat, and accelerate the drying process of sludge during the stirring. The obtained wet fume and water vapor mixture has an average temperature of 140[deg] C. The wet fume is mixed with water having an average temperature of 20[deg] C by condensation process. The incondensable gases resulting from the mixing of wet fume and water are purified from the residual volatile organic compound and other poly chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD) and poly chlorinated dibenzo furans (PCDF) by solubilization of oil flow at 20[deg] C before discharge into the atmosphere at average temperature of 22[deg] C and according to the international regulatory standards. The thermal destruction process is carried out under an average relative pressure of 3500 Pa. An independent claim is included for a device for thermal destruction of organic sludge.
