Front block structure for motor vehicle, has femur shock energy absorption system with ends associated to fixation tabs on upper crossbar and upper bumper beam, and deforming by buckling for absorbing energy of femur shock of pedestrian
The structure has a radiator (3) fixed on an upper crossbar (7) of an electric fan unit, an upper bumper beam (8) and a femur shock energy absorption system (4) interposed between the radiator and a front part of a bonnet. The system is presented in the form of an inverted U-shaped section profile extending under the front bonnet part, where ends of the system are associated to fixation tabs (10, 11) on the crossbar and the beam. The system deforms by buckling to absorb energy of femur shock of a pedestrian, and is made of composite material.
