The device has a quadrangular shaped foldable ground-sheet made of rigid, semi-rigid or flexible material and pierced at the center by a rectangular surface in which joint feet of a petanque player are placed, where the ground-sheet serves as an advertising medium. The ground-sheet is encircled by a border e.g. projecting border. A handle (3) displaces the ground-sheet, and picots (1) are placed in contact with the ground. The border protects a sound and luminous signaling device that indicates the exceedance of a conventional limit by the feet of the player.
