Pilot's in-flight rest managing device for use in e.g. civil transport aircraft, has parameter acquisition unit and information display unit arranged in cockpit for being accessible to pilot desired to take rest from piloting location
The device (1) has a parameter acquisition unit (11) acquiring a characteristic input parameter of a rest period required by a pilot. A calculation unit (12) calculates future position of an aircraft from aircraft's actual position given by aircraft parameters (6), along a programmed path from the input and aircraft parameters, at end of the period. An information display unit (13) displays information i.e. count-down, indicating the period and the aircraft position. The units (11, 13) are arranged in a cockpit for being accessible to the pilot desired to take rest from a piloting location.
