Safety device for protecting person working near backhoe loader in building site, has transceiver associated to display unit to warn driver about presence of persons in safety perimeter in response to establishment of communication
The device has radio frequency identification (RFID) transponders (5) in the form of badge and carried by persons (3) working near a mobile vehicle i.e. backhoe loader (1). An RFID transceiver (10) is mounted on the vehicle. The transponder and the transceiver communicate with each other, when the persons are located in a safety perimeter around the vehicle. The transceiver is associated to a display unit (12) to warn a driver (2) of the vehicle about the presence of the persons in the perimeter in response to the establishment of communication between the transponder and the transceiver.
