Furniture element e.g. curved decoration, fabricating method, involves steaming printed plate to maintain printed plate at temperature equal to softening temperature of plastic material, and applying deformations to printed plate
The method involves printing a decorative pattern on a deformable plastic plate i.e. polymethyl methacrylate plate, by ink jet. Ink in the pattern is dried by an embarked ultraviolet device arranged in downstream of a multi-jet head of a printing machine. The printed plate is steamed for maintaining the printed plate at temperature equal to softening temperature of plastic material. Deformations are applied to the printed plate before the temperature of the plate is reduced below the softening temperature of the plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a furniture element.
