Urban lighting network for use in luminous spot teleprocessing field, has coordinator establishing communication with lighting sources via router for controlling operation of sources according to predetermined lighting scene
The network (10) has wireless communication radio frequency routers (18, 20, 22) for defining sub-communication networks (24, 26, 28) of lighting columns (12) with light sources e.g. urban lighting source, in its communication range, respectively. Each lighting source communicates only with the radio frequency routers under normal operation. An autonomous and central programmable coordinator (32) establishes communication with the lighting sources via one of the radio frequency routers for controlling an operation of the lighting sources according to a predetermined lighting scene.
