The system has a brake applying unit for applying differential braking between wheels of a landing gear during turning of an aircraft at low speed around a center of rotation (O). The landing gear has a bogie constituted of axles and wheels (4-7). Each wheel is equipped with a brake. The axles are connected to the aircraft by a telescoping strut. A differential braking controller selects the wheels of the landing gear.
