Electromagnetic field bi-polarization measuring device, has two probes for measuring two polarizations placed opposite to source, and panel shaped butterfly valve masking one probe with source, when another probe carries out measurement
The device has two probes (1, 2) for measuring two polarizations placed opposite to a source i.e. radar antenna (10), where the probes successively carries out their measurements. A panel shaped butterfly valve (3) masks the probe (2) with the source when the probe (1) carries out a measurement, where the butterfly valve is made of an electromagnetic wave absorbing material. The butterfly valve (3) is mechanically interdependent of an axle (4) placed between the two probes (1, 2), and an engine (5) drives the butterfly valve (3) that masks the two probes. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring bi-polarization of an electromagnetic field produced by a source.
